Within the next 4-6 months, 2 new UK routes are coming to Train Sim World as per the most recent roadmap released for the month of April.

Taking a look at livery designer, in the logo section there are multiple TOC’s logos tied to TOC’s on the current UK routes in the game.

West Midlands Railway logo for the BCC route

Thameslink for the Class 700 DLC

Southern for the London Commuter route

London Overground for the Goblin Line

London Underground for the Bakerloo line

    GWR for the GWE route

Gatwick Express for the London Commuter route

Flying Scotsman for the Flying Scotsman DLC

However, the only TOC’s logos in Livery Designer with no UK routes attached to them is Avanti West Coast and Great Northern

    Possible Avanti West Coast routes:
    - London Euston to Rugby
    - London Euston to Birmingham New Street

    Possible Great Northern routes:
    - London Kings Cross to Stevenage
    - London Kings Cross to Cambridge

I'd like to see Avanti but from Preston Carlisle over Shap.

Or Virgin Trains class 87 as the traction.

You forget another potential choice, Birmingham New Street to Manchester Piccadilly with both stations already modelled and is around 80 miles.

Avanti don't run trains between Birmingham and Manchester. That would be a CrossCountry route.

Avanti run trains via both Birmingham and the Trent valley or at least they did last time I checked

All Avanti services to Manchester run via the Trent Valley, services that don't terminate at New Street usually operate to either Edinburgh or Blackpool.

Cambridge to Kings Lynn is a GN possibility. Though I don't really think that just because a logo is in livery designer we should assume they have the licenses to make route and rolling stock for them.

Yes they serve both stations but they don't operate direct services between the two. They're separate services.

WCML north could be a possibility as that would reuse scotrail stock, alternatively WCML south could be just as likely, as they could reuse the 1972 stock and the 710. Only problem with south is you would probably want a 350 to go with it, which would be unlikely since most routes today come with 1 new type of Rolling stock

These have been in there for donkeys, I doubt we'll be seeing these as routes

Agree with you 100% on that. Exactly what I've been saying on the other thread.

    I wouldn't rule out a 350 or 390. But I would rule out something like a 221/807/378.

Great Northern is (I believe) a GTR franchise along with Gatwick Express and Southern and is probably included in the licencing agreement, hence it may not indicate that anything is imminent for it. Avanti West Coast is another matter as it is a joint venture between First Group/Trentalia and MTR with only First Group previously having another franchise in game in the shape of GWR which (as some have rumoured) is no longer in use in TSW.

that and Avanti are the only 2 on livery editor what haven’t been used yet I believe.

I was just trying work out why we have these 2 licences because we don't yet have routes for them. Great Northern seems self explanatory for the reason stated but Avanti is a bit more difficult to work out.

I think DTG gave us what they could for the livery editor, they may or may not have realised to the extent at how much that hints at future routes.

they probably did but it’s fine as it doesn’t reveal the train or section.

Had it had been added recently, I'd agree, but after this long.
I really doubt we'll see them in a route.

I don’t, they’ve just been doing others, it’s just not confirmed when they will show up (officially it’s neither confirmed they will)

there was also the ECML which came with TSW4 so putting them one after the other isn’t great for variety and WCML is big, not sure it could be just another dlc, it may need to be saved for an iteration or rush hour style pack.

They likely have licensing agreements with multiple train operators already, giving them extra flexibility when it comes to choosing routes if they have already got the permissions in place. There's others not yet in game for operators in other countries too I believe.

In the case of Avanti, it featured in TSC fairly recently - so it could be they acquired permissions for both games. If they opt for a WCML route in TSW, they may not have to renegotiate through the legal stuff again.

What about Spirit of Steam but recreated in modern times with Avanti Class 390 and London Northwestern Class 350. Class 66 for freight. Too exciting for you?

    Too boring for me. ;)

But move SoS forward just a few years and add one of the first generation of West coast electrics in the original ‘Electric Blue’ colour scheme, with mark 1s and 2s, combined with green diesels, and you’d have something magnificent.

However I believe 30% is owned by the Italians, whereas I believe GWR is all First's.

Arriva is DB but Arriva is a known issue of a license in TSC as far as I’m aware.

I remember Arriva being sold last year. according to wikipedia the sale hasn't been completed fully yet. sounds like they are a bit busy to get a license out.

    I would note that all of these have been in the game since either TSW3 or the later end of TSW2;

    Overground came alongside Overground,
Great Northern and Thameslink came along with Southern and Gatwick Express, as they all belong to one company.

Since then we've also seen ScotRail, Northern, East Midlands Trains, Southeastern (assuming they were added in TSW2), Southern (likewise), British Rail(ways), DRS, ONE and ROG content released without any logos.

I wouldn't read too much into it, really.

I would like to see something down here in the south of England. Reading. Basingstoke. Winchester. Southampton. Why is everything up north.
