    Hello everyone,

I think I don't need to tell anyone that the biggest issue many people have with TSW2 and DTG (aswell as some third-party devs) is the inconsistency in release quality of new DLC. Even though quality has in fact improved and DLC are more well-received than ever, oftentimes there's still issues with them here and there.

I think it's important to note that the DLC are mostly in good quality, it's just often a couple of minor bugs or glitches that sour the impression. A lack of polish such as inaccessible/missing collectibles on SMH and LBN, signage and signals showing wrong speeds such as on MSB and RRO et cetera.

Many players have asked for or demanded fixes that sometimes get squeezed in here and there, but oftentimes won't come. I think the reason for that is simple: there's no dedicated post-release care team or resource.

What I am suggesting is to plan for the respective development team to be planned in for a week or two longer than the release date, to fix issues that arise only in late testing or even after release. The fixes could come in the form of a set of hotfixes or a "Week 1 Patch". Naturally this wouldn't allow all bugs to be eliminated from future releases, as sometimes bugs are just too complex to easily fix. But things like missing collectibles or wrong signage should be able to be done fairly quickly and would boost product quality considerably.

Of course the additional resource-bind would cost money. But I think the increase in quality is worth it, also from an economical standpoint. Happy consumers are paying consumers ;) Especially in the premium segment of train simulation games, where TSW2 is to my knowledge the most expensive product.

What do you think? Do you agree, do you wish for another model of bugfixing to be implemented or do you think it is unnecessary?

    Best regards,
