I found this video earlier today and shared in the pc area but thought it would be good to have a thread where we can share our own or other video links. I’m certain I’m not the only one more Interested in them having played the sim so I look forward to seeing some good videos I may not be aware of. You may recognise this train....
I guess the same way anyone finds anything of interest interesting. it could be they like to understand the events leading up to a crash It could be they have watched an investigation programme after a crash (they make them so there must be demand) It could be they want to see carnage and they’re morbid It might be someone told them or shared it They could be studying it as part of a work role to mitigate future tragedy it could be they have zero interest and don’t watch. Everybody has a different and equally less important boat to float Just so I don’t offend I’ll share another gruesome one.
Here’s the video of the Taurus hitting 357kmh for anyone interested? What do you think of that cab view?
This is not a crash, but a delay but this video is my favorite. This is a POV video of a Dutch train driver who was driving his normal service from Enschede to Deventer, but he had to make a extra stop at station Wierden because windows were shot in the international train to Amsterdam. Its very interesting to see what they do and there are English subtitles for the dialogue.
Do you guys like the sound of old jointed track while watching the scenery fly by trough a window ? If yes scroll at around 2:20 and turn the volume up. This was filmed in Romania on a train doing a heavy climb from Brasov (Bran the castle of Vlad Tepes aka Dracula is near by) to Predeal trough the mountains. The sound quality is very good, something you don't hear to often when filming trough the window and the jointed track sound is really awesome. Quick details: Predeal station is situated at around 1000M, so the 5100 KW loco in the video needs to climb some harsh grades from 2.0 to 3.0+ to reach the station wile pulling around 400/500 tones
Perhaps the ultimate crash, Operation Smash Hit. What happens when you run a class 46 at 100mph into a nuclear flask!
Crazy one that's for sure, I remember watching it on the 6 o'clock news on the day and being dumbstruck. Here's another from Mr Clarkson with gratuitous violence towards a Renault Espace metered out by a good old goyle!!
