I have noticed my throttle resets on Cajon Pass does anyone know how to fix it? Doesn't matter if power is set to 8 or 4 Tried to move it slowly 1->2 wait few seconds, 2->3 wait few seconds. Same random power cut off.
It’s normal - it is the power transition, which happens at a certain speed or if the power setting is changed from a high to low or low to high notch. There is no way to stop it happening because it’s how the SD40-2 actually works.
Agree with stujoy. The systems are "changing gears" or power modes so there's a drop in power output whilst all this happens. It's common on a number of trains in game
