Assuming TSW evolves to take advantage of UE5, or anything in between the current engine in TSW 2 and UE5 in the future, will all the routes have to be preserved/updated again to run on that new engine? Surely that can’t be cost effective, so will we ever see a point where the current preserved collection and the new routes we have/are getting in TSW 2 are left behind?
Let’s worry about UE5 in about 3 or 4 years time. There’s plenty to worry about with the current preserved collection working in the currently utilised version of UE4. Hopefully there won’t be the kind of update that requires such a big alteration of the entire collection for a long time. This one’s got half of us tearing our hair out (the other half are bald).
I was wondering about the future progression of routes too. Being tied to an outside game engine has its risks.
Recently, I was wondering about the project entitled Preserved was not a mistake, however. There was a commotion (still is) and it kind of stopped the game development. A month ago I would not have written that.
