Hello everyone today I will be reviewing prime hydration with the flavours Tropical Punch and Ice Pop. If you didn't know, Prime is made by the popular boxers KSI, and Logan Paul and ever since release people have been going nuts for it. A little too nuts. Ice Pop (Made With Cherry, Lime, and Blue Raspberry): So when I take a drink it definitely tastes like an ice pop and definitely tastes like what you would expect with an ice pop of those flavours. It tastes good, the fruit they promote is not misleading. 9.5/10. Tropical Punch (Just says Tropical Fruit with sweeteners): The taste definitely gives me Tropical vibes with a pineapple and orange like taste and just like Ice Pop does not misleading. This one is better than the other one by a bit so 10/10. For me it does capture the summer vibes that we'll be entering soon and I recommend refrigerating them as it makes them a little more colder (which is recommended for summer!) And adds something to the flavour. Before I end the thread I am going to give a shout-out to TSW Nathan for informing me that a kid almost d**d with it and told me to not craze it too much so big shout-out to him.
Representatives from prime were on my campus when I was there around 2 years ago. Gave it away for free. It was only 3 flavors at that time. It was a regular hydration drink with a milder flavor. It wasn't too sweet which I liked. It's a more refreshing and less sweet type of drink compared to vitamin water or gatorade. I haven't seen it around ever since that day.
Likely cuz it sold out and the eBay resellers saw big bucks and cashed in. What I thought was gonna happen with me.
Yes I have seen a few people in the village with these bottles recently and I honestly don't understand what the sudden desire for this drink is and don't understand what is so special about these boxers. Apparently it tastes like calpol anyway.
Ingredients- Water, Marketing, Hype, Artificial Sweeteners, Vitamins, Capitalism, Gullible Teenagers.
Let's be brutally honest here, the whole drink is just a tarted up scam in different clothing, there's nothing honest about anything involving either of the Paul brothers or their ilk.......
Calling them "boxers" is a bit rich. They are both YouTubers/vloggers who between them have a grand total of 1 professional boxing match (and that was against each other). Yes they have done some other amateur/pay-per-view bouts, and are more involved in boxing/wrestling these days than before, but their main claim to fame is their social-media presence.
If it tastes better cold then that is also a bad sign. Your taste buds cannot pick up some flavours when it's cold. There's a reason cheap beers recommend serving 'ice cold'.
The temperature of food and drink affects the taste. It’s why people who are into expensive whiskeys or wines etc drink them at room temperature. The cold hides a lot of bad tastes which is why cheap beers put the emphasis on drinking ‘ice cold’.
I’ve heard people say it’s amazing, people say it’s horrible, this is my view- it’s not disgusting, it tasted alright but it’s not worth the hype it gets
(Not defending Prime here, but...) Water is best when cold, and if it weren't for that there would be no such thing as life on earth so, go figure.
Water isn't a product created by someone though. I always drink water at room temperature or warmer but I think I'm in the minority haha
Warm/hot water is weird, but room/tap temperature water is fine. There's no real taste to modify/dull by chilling it (unless you're being really picky or it isn't particularly pure), so the "benefit" of drinking it cold comes from the sensation (and cooling/refreshment) rather than a taste improvement necessarily. Tests have also shown that consuming water at different temperatures is best for different things Taste differentiation: 20C (room temp) Refreshment: 6C (basically straight out of the fridge) Hydration: 16C (between room and fridge temp) Thirst quenching: 40C (yes, this is different to hydration) The human body/brain is weird too , there are many foods which we consume both hot and cold versions of, but anything in-between feels wrong. Take coffee/tea for example - traditionally enjoyed either hot (normal) or cold (iced), but tepid versions of either just makes you think it's "old" (because it has sat long enough to come down/up to room temperature).
