Good day I have a problem with aligning the track to the ground with the loaded DEM terrain, I try different settings, snapping to the ground in the settings in the lower left corner, then I try to align the track to the ground with the tool (the one with the magnet), I set different brush sizes etc. and the track always aligns "partially" and leaves a gap in some places and it is impossible to align it So I would like to ask for a tip on how to set the parameters to lay the track on terrain loaded from DEM with different heights, whether to do it in the menu on the lower left, or in other parts of the track itself, the menu on the upper right, or with the tool from the toolbox on the upper left, what exactly to mark and what values to enter for the slope and brush to do it correctly Regards Witold
The problem solved itself Today I tested these tracks against others and they are probably poorly made as 3D objects, such height is already in them. I did not notice it on plain terrain looking from above, but after loading the height I saw that they stick out from the ground. These are Polish 2D tracks that I want to use for Polish routes, so I will probably have to modify them or leave them as they are and cover them with grass
You can always just look at the height of the terrain and use the ‘level’ tool to raise by a few centimetres (I understand this is not ideal). Alternatively, you can use the terrain drag tool and raise it to height you like.
Thanks for the tips, but it will probably be easier to process the 3D file itself Best regards Witold
