Lately I've noticed I've been having a lot of issues with TimeofDay, somethin I didn't notice before. On most routes including for example Berlin-Leipzig, when I have scenarios, free roams, quick drives or whatever other mode set in whatever season but especially in summer time, it gets dark and looks like sunset around 5:30 pm-6pm or so even though it's summer and it's sunset around 9:30 pm in Berlin in real life. I will post below some pictures so I can illustrate what I mean. They were all taken between 5:30 pm and 7 pm and it's way too sunset-like and dark for it to match real life settings. What can I do to modify this?
Each Route has a Time of Day folder and in that is the information specifying the parameters In the \railworks\Assets\virtualTracks\Berlin-Leipzig\TimeOfDay folder are the bin files with the information I have found that the AzimuthAngle is wrong for a lot of routes and the sun is in the wrong place It is worth noting the DTG did not make the Berlin - Leipzig route Peter
I know each route has a TimeofDay but I think it's a bigger problem because I have this issue to various degrees on all routes. On some third-party routes I have the sun going down at 5:30 pm in the summer...
If the Sun angle defined by the AzimuthAngle is wrong then it will go down at the wrong time On a number of routes I drive - due south around mid-day but the sun is in my left window and not straight ahead
Is there a tutorial somewhere that explains how to change it and which bin files need to be targeted? Because I never heard about the AzimuthAngle ever before and I've been playing TS since 2014.
The bin files I mentioned in Post #2 It was mentioned in a thread on UKTS I don't know a way of how you work out it is wrong
The thing is, even when opening the .bin file in .xml using RW_Tools, I could not find exactly WHERE that can be done
It is something to do with the number in <AzimuthAngle d:type="sFloat32" d:alt_encoding="000000C07493E0BF" d:precision="string">-0.518</AzimuthAngle> The -0.518 is wrong but I do not know what it should be Have a read of this old thread https://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=361&t=128908&p=1602554 Peter
This doesn't really help me solve my problem but thanks anyways. Simply adding - in the AzimuthAngle doesn't fix it, the problem seems to be bigger.
