So I purchased a RailDriver and TSW3 Standard came with it for an additional $10. I figured, for that price, I might as well try it out, even if only because it would allow me to play Peninsula Corridor with the RailDriver. I tried the RailDriver out with London Commuter on TSW2 and it works well. When I tried it with the same DLC on TSW3, I noticed that the reverser lever doesn't work properly on the Electrostars. (It's fine on the 166.) I can't get it to go in reverse, and it's also very difficult to get it to go into neutral. Does anyone else notice or experience this? Are there any workarounds?
As far as I can tell it is DTG refusing to do anything with the software despite their claims of 'just how easy it would be'. We have been waiting for an update for ages and all we get is silence.
I've been having problems recently with the throttle/brake and reverser on BML in TSW3 that I was not having in TSW2. I've been using a hybrid RD/ mouse/ keyboard arrangement. You might want to try re-calibrating the RD, though that hasn't worked for me.
I tried re-calibrating, but with no luck. I could get it to go off, forwards, and in reverse, but not neutral. (I like to switch to neutral when making passenger stops, as I heard this is prototypical.) Another thing I noticed: in TSW2, the alerter button on the RailDriver has a ~2-3 second delay for the BML 377. This delay isn't present in TSW3. (I got fed-up with the emergency stops caused by the tripped alerter so I went back to using the "Q" key.) Yes, I'm utilizing a hybrid arrangement myself. In fact, even if the RD integration were seamless, I'd continue to do so. I find it easier to utilize the mouse and keyboard for controlling the camera control and moving the player. I suppose I'm stuck running BML on both versions until the call-on signal at Redhill for the GWR services is fixed in TSW2.
