    Just a query.
After contacting the Dispatcher for permission to move through a red signal, the response is to Proceed at the Restricted Speed.
What is the restricted speeds for UK, US, and German routes?

In Germany, 24 km/h. In the US, 15 or 20 mph max (depending on the railroad), but in no case faster than the ability to stop in 1/2 visual distance. Not sure about the UK

There is no fixed speed in the UK. You must proceed at a speed which will allow you to stop short of any obstruction. So (e.g) if you’re on a clear, straight section of line in daylight, in good weather, that’s going to be much quicker than if you’re in a complex area of trackwork in the dark in thick fog.

edit - I should add that the terminology which would be used in the UK in such circumstances would be to “proceed at caution”.

When my dad worked for the UK railways (1975-2000) he used to tell me that restricted speed was a maximum 15mph, so that's the speed I go at when I'm told to run under restricted speed.
