Hello everybody! I have a proposal to make about the above addon: the Santa Fe SD40-2. I know that it has been discontinued, not to mention that it is an old addon, but would DTG please consider bringing it back to TS 2021? It looks nice for its age, and could be offered "branded" and un-branded" (such as in Raton Pass or the Hi-Line) to satisfy BNSF licensing issues. In any case it would be a wonderful addition to the North American collection and I am sure that it would be well received by players. i hope that it will be considered for a new lease on life. I never understood why this got pulled, but the Burlington Northern ones got put into the BNSF loco bundle.
Indeed they did. This was before I got into TS, so I actually don't remember seeing the Santa Fe SD's ever before. The only reason I found out about them was because I saw in SS's 645E3 Turbo EP, that it listed a Santa Fe SD40-2 as one of the locomotives the pack could be enabled for. I Googled it and found the above. By the way, nice screenshot in this weeks contest!
It won't be brought back because the copyright for the livery is held by BNSF who don't allow items with their logos to be sold outside the USofA
Hopefully they could offer it as branded (with logos) and unbranded (without logos). That way everybody could enjoy it.
Good news though is I think Searchlight Simulations is making their own version (They listed it as SF not ATSF)
