I have insufficient privileges to post in the feedback thread, so am posting here instead. I keep getting an error code on my PS4 CE-34878-0. Most recently it happened on a service from Peterborough to Doncaster, but it happens on different services too all the time - particularly on the ECML. Everything is up to date, but it’s really annoying having the game crash especially given this time I was ~1 mile away from Doncaster. Anyone know what to do please? Thank you
Doncaster is seems to be particularly crashy on ps4, I assume it's an ‘out of memory crash’ rather than a bug with the route. Best thing to do is to stay away from services to Doncaster, only do services starting at and going away from Doncaster and always save when your close to the end of your journey. A month or 2 ago I was about to finish a service to Doncaster in snow but it crashed and the save data on my ps4 went corrupt, lucky I had a backup in cloud storage.

There's also less train types. Only 2 compared to all that on ecml. Unique trains vs 1000+ devices of the same train. Also depending on the train itself, it may use more memory
If you're on the reduced timetable the only trains at regularly appear are the 66 and 801, there isn't even any stock around Doncaster works and for me the EMT content won't even appear on the lower end of the route unless you're driving one of the trains.
True but when coming into London Victoria it's bad but not as bad coming into Doncaster, like most of the time I get 11-15 FPS even though I'm on PS5.
Hi DTG Matt , apologies for the delayed response. I use both, and I've had it on both I think. Should I probably just stick to reduced? Sounds like that may use less memory.
This has happened again this morning. On arrival into New York Penn on the M7 LIRR in timetable mode. Once I’d locked the doors again, it said service starts at 09:something, and I decided I wanted to do an ECS into the yard instead. So I clicked into map, clicked onto the train, clicked set path, clicked the location I wanted to go to and then it immediately crashed with that same error message
I did that this morning on my PS4 with Flying Scotsman on the West Somerset Railway and it corrupted my save data and I lost my profile.
Happened just now in SEHS on approach to Stratford. Doesn’t look like the save worked at ebsfleet. Can’t really justify getting more add ons until this is fixed
Crash with the same error code 1.8 miles from Doncaster PS4 ECML Class 801 PBO -> DON Calling at all 3 intermediate stations 1N81 (start 09:59 end 11:03)
Speaking from experience I would stay away from any services heading towards Doncaster, there’s something there that will more often than not cause a crash. It’s better to be safe then sorry and do services heading out.
The irony is that I knew this, completely forgot until I’d left PBO and decided there was no point in going back to the main menu
Just had this crash on a SEHS service. Not sure of the head code, but it was the first service of the day to leave ashford depot, into ashford international, then I took it stopping at Ebsfleet and then due Stratford 05:35 before terminating at St Pancras. Crashed around 2 miles before Stratford in a tunnel.
Services to and from Ashford as well as services approaching Stratford from the east will cause crashes. Other services should be fine though
So every service to St Pancras and every passenger service to Ashford (from depot seems to work fine)? DTG Alex DTG Matt Please may you highlight this to the team to fix for the Summer Core Update?
