Given the announcement that trophies are switched off for PS4 for this DLC are the units of measurement going to be tracked ready for when they are switched back on? For example will the collectibles pop as soon as the trophy issue is fixed or will we have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to pop? On the mileage side, if we do 1000 miles in the 150 (or whatever the trophy is on steam or xbox) will it pop on fix or do we have to do another 1000 before it will? DTG JD as the community guy time for you to step up to the plate and try and hit this curve ball for us. Whilst not game braking I think the community would be interested in knowing what tracking will be left on in the background for the missing trophy sets. Thank you in advance
I don't believe within the original message there was discussion of turning them back on at this stage, so assume for the time being that they won't be. In terms of the longer-term support for Trophies, that's something we're discussing when we've been able to put in a solution for the Add-ons size cap on PS5.
So in effect any future purchasing options JD assume trophies are off forever and no mileage is being tracked?
I'd say that's the safest option. It's not ideal by any means, but until we understand the solutions available to us I don't want to present any false hope.

Distance achievements have unlocked when they've introduced them later. Example would be the Talent 2 achievement in Dresden. Already done the requirements in base game long ago before the achievement. It triggered after launching a service with the train. The game keeps track of distance in the player profile area. I did read that Cane Creek distance trophies unlocked after starting a service with the relevant loco (already fulfilled the distance with the locos on other routes) once those trophies got added. Some had already used the locos on Sand Patch Grade (CSX and UP stats combined in player profile). For collectables leave the last one for when the trophy situation is hopefully sorted. You wouldn't need to reinstall the game for a trophy. Make a new save data or use multiple TSW driver profiles if you already got them all on your main driver profile.
