PS4 Ps4 Version - Cannot Load Tsw3

    Hello. I'm new to these forums (and to TSW in general), but I bought TSW3 for the PS4 yesterday via the Playstation Store and have been unable to even get the game loaded and started. It gets to the loading splash screen and it hangs, with the little spinning 'loading' wheel just spinning in perpetuity. No matter how long I leave it, I cannot get past the loading splash screen. I've tried deleting and re-downloading TSW3 (more than once), I've deleted other games to free up space, but nothing seems to help. I'm about to contact Playstation Store support to ask for a refund, but I'd really rather play the game to be honest. Does anyone have any suggestions to get this working? I just wanted to see what others might have done to fix similar issues. Many thanks for your help!

    The exact same issue here on my PS4. I bought Train Sim World 3 (bundle version) from the Playstation Store yesterday. After installing it keeps hanging on the loading screen, just as you described. I tried:
    1) re-installing
    2) re-installing after removing the TSW3 'saved data in system storage' (5.4MB file)
    3) Completely wiped/initialized the PS4
    4) re-installed TSW3 again, and waited for the full install (44GB) to finish before opening the game
    Still the issue persists.
    I hope Dovetailgames can look into this.

    Hello, I play on PS5 and have played for a while on PS4. Although I have a lot of experience with the game and it’s many DLC’s although I don’t experience with your issue because I bought TSW 2020, TSW2 and TSW3 before any issues like the ones you describe.
    Usually, this is fixed by Uninstalling TSW and Reinstalling, which I have done before when I had other issues (which it fixed) although apart from that I have no recommendations (Uninstalling is usually what ends up fixing most things

    My best recommendations that I can give you two is to create an account and report your issue to Dovetail themselves through their support site. They should be able help you and give you step-by-step instructions on what to do.

    Thank you for your answer. I will raise the issue at dovetailgames (via the freshdesk link you included in your reply). Hopefully they can shed a light on the cause of the issue I and lokiman136 experience.

    I have the same issue too. Tried uninstalling, reinitialising, nothing. Going to ask for a refund now. Extremely disappointed

    I'm on PS4 and I do not have the issue, although the splash screen takes quite some time to get past. I believe they changed something there in the last update.
    • The splash screen is followed by some logo animations. It used to be that the splash screen loaded a little bit quicker, but then the logo animations that followed stuttered like crazy, and although there was a prompt to skip them, button presses often were not registered.
    • Since the last update, the splash screen takes longer to load, but the logo animations afterwards are fluent and respond to button presses to skip them.
    So clearly they've changed something there, but chances are, they might have broken something too...

    Be aware that post-Add Ons Manager, TSW3 takes a loooong time to load up. This is especially true of the PS4 version, which doesn't have the advantage of the PS5 solid-state hard drive. I basically left the room and when I came back TSW3 was at the menu screen, probably wasn't more than 5 minutes but it seemed like an eternity. I also have a lot of DLC installed, so maybe that's a factor. Or maybe not.

    You'll also know it's about to boot when you hear the menu music start to chime in.

    I registered on this website
    Just so I could post this hope it helps everyone.
    I had downloaded PS4 train SIM world 3 from psn yesterday
    Had the same problem
    Game would not load just circle rotating
    Now I had in the past downloaded about half of the train SIM world 3 tube map
    And for some reason decided to complete the download
    After this thought I would start game again and I did a double take
    It just loaded fine.
    Don't understand why
    But so happy it works at last
    See what everyone thinks

    One issue I was having was registering. That was a big problem regarding loading/signing in. Signing out and in from dovetail may help

    I had the same issue, but it worked after I fully downloaded the game.

    Same issue here. Tried installing couple of times but failed. Even tried on my pS5 but ultimately failed.

    any fix for this

    Hello all!

    If you haven't already figured it out, I have just figured out how to cut down the loading time and get you into the main menu game within 1 minute or so. If you are on PS4, head into the notifications tab and check your downloads which should be at the top. This way, once it has all downloaded, you will be ready to play! Thank you for customer support for some help on this one!
