I downloaded the free training centre content on PS5 last week. Do you have to purchase the full version to play the add ons and other DLC?
Everything can be purchased separately. Just be aware some add ons, such as loco DLCs, will need another for you to be able to use them. The Pendolino, for example, can only be used on the West Coast Main Line route (although without that it will provide an unplayable "layer" on other appropriate routes)
