I know we would all like user mappable controls on the playstation, but i think that will be a way off if it ever happens,
And i know we can use a keyboard...

But i got the ps5 version of TSW 2 so i can loaf about on the bed and pretend to drive a train using just the ps5 controller (i have train simulator on the desktop pc which i can use a controller i made with levers and switches, and the driving desk from a BR 111 in storage for when i want total immersion)

Don't get me wrong, the 'immersion' control scheme is miles better than the classic one... but it could be a tiny bit better i think.

Now i only drive German trains, so this may not matter at all to uk and american train drivers,
But a great part of the immersion control scheme is you can hold down the square button and get another set of controls,

So you can hold down square then press left or right D pad to operate the PZB Frei or Befehl switch/buttons in the cab.

Then it's D pad down for sand... but D pad up is unmapped in the shifted buttons (for German trains anyway)

Am i the only one who would like the unused shifted up D pad to be PZB Wachsam?

Reason for this, At the moment you press the O button for Sifa reset AND PZB Wachsam.. i.e. it's triggering 2 separate buttons at once in the cabs.

Which does the job i guess... except that you need to press the Sifa reset button every ~30 seconds as you drive, and that should be silent (except for the button / foot lever clicking sound)

But as it is now, in most trains as you are also pressing PZB Wachsam too, you get the PZB acknowledged beeper/buzzer playing ... or in the trains that speak to you, 'Zugbeeinflussung' is shouted at you every time you are pressing O to reset the Sifa timer.

PZB Frei and Befehl are already mapped to the shifted buttons, on D pad right and left, So it would be kind of intuitive to have the one other PZB function mapped the the unused D pad up??

Leaving the much more used Sifa reset button for the O key where it can quietly reset the Sifa timer... as that is pressed ~100 times on an average 50 minute journey.

Yes! This is especially relevant on the Niddertalbahn now. Circle button is only used for Sifa there and afaik there is no button that triggers PZB Wachsam in the 628. You actually have to look at it thus not seeing the track anymore, you kind of have to guess when to trigger it.

So, I totally agree with the above suggestion: Circle button should be Sifa only, and D-Pad up in the extended controls (while holding square) should be PZB Wachsam, on all German locos.

I totaly agree with you, it woul’d be great to have circle button just for SIFA alerter. It’s TSW 4 and year 2024 and still not implemented? @developerteam please, this can not be that hard to implement, as well as to have some freedom in changing mapping on PS5 controller schemes.

Agreed, but ideally the shifted Left/Up/Right d-pad buttons would match the PZB buttons in the real cab (like the Del/End/PgDn keys on the keyboard controls). So PZB Acknowledge would then become the shifted Right d-pad button. Make sense?
