I recently decided to upgrade to the PS5 Pro after considerable debate. I kept putting it off for so long until I eventually bite the bullet and coughed up the cash. I didn’t just upgrade to play TSW as that would be silly, but I was hoping there would be some minor improvements over the base PS5 for TSW. I did read another OP from a user about their experience, but that’s around the time the Pro launched, it’s had a lot of updates since then to the PSSR and RDN4. Taking that into account I’d expect to notice some fps improvements and sharper image quality, well i did. The improvements are minor as you’d expect (this isn’t a PS6). The 2D assets seem to look more detailed and the overall image quality is improved. My fps seems to be more stable than what it was before, I still get stutters obviously, but they feel less noticeable. I run VRR, 120hz and picture enhancement features on my Sony Bravia so I guess what tv or monitor you use plays a big part also. Is the Pro worth the upgrade? Absolutely if you plan on using for other games too. If you’re buying it just for TSW than it’s not worth the investment.
