I had a weird (typical PlayStation) issue when I did the pre install for TSW4 on PS5.

It downloaded the game and DLC as intended. Great. Then when I fired up the game yesterday, none of the routes appeared. Just training centre.

Turned out what the PS5 did was install the PS5 version of TSW4 but downloaded all the DLC in PS4 format. So they were on my hard drive taking up space but not usable.

So make sure if this happens you delete the PS4 DLC and install the proper PS5 ones. You may have PS4 data needlessly taking up space on your drive (this is a problem across all TSW versions and many PS5 games in general thanks to the weird way PS5 store works).

Hello. I am an elderly gamer who is experiencing this problem too. Is there any chance you could let me know how/where to delete the PS4 DLC and install the proper PS5 ones? Thanks.

This was the issue on Tuesday with the pre-download issues - only the PS4 versions of the routes seemed to be available.
I was using my console when the pre-load started so I caught the download issue and was able to cancel it, or at least the bulk of it.
I have my PS4 content set to download to an external HDD so had to go to the manage storage options, select items to delete and it showed up as "other" coz the main game wasn't installed (or at least, a PS4 version wasn't).

Go into your PS5 settings > Storage > Console Storage > Games and Apps.

You should see a list of everything you have installed, and a little icon showing if it is PS4 or PS5 game data.

If you scroll down you will see a block of PS4 data that might say something like "game not available" or "other game" (I forget the exact term but for me it was about 26gb). It won't show up as TSW4 because you don't have the PS4 version of the game installed.

Just delete that block of files and you are good.

PS5 is really not user friendly with this stuff, I've had issues where it constantly tried to download PS4 TSW3 DLC too when I had the PS5 version of the game. Even just trying to explain this is complicated.
