Train Sim World 3 Psa: Dovetail Live Services Down (19th-23rd May)

    We have temporarily disabled Dovetail Live services over the weekend, whilst we perform essential maintenance related to game stability for Train Sim World 3 players on Steam.

    This will mean that services like our News pages in-game, Mastery, Creators Club, Railfan Shots, and some forum log-ins will be unavailable for TSW3 players whilst we perform the maintenance.

    We apologise for the inconvenience caused, and will update when complete.

    For those experiencing issues with crashing on Steam, you will need to remove your latest Dovetail Live log-in from your computer.

    Instructions on how to do this are below - we hope this helps you get back into game, and thanks for your patience.

    As a temporary workaround, you can manually delete your old Dovetail Live Authorisation Session, allowing you to play TSW3 (without Dovetail Live services whilst we perform the maintenance), by following the steps below:
    1. Exit the game
    2. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following: C:\Users\[User]\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld3\Saved\SaveGames
    3. Delete 'dovetaillive.sav'
    4. Restart your game - it should start as normal (minus DTL services temporarily).
    Doing this will not delete your Mastery Progress or uploaded Railfan Shots.

    Thanks for your patience, and we hope you had a good weekend.

    To clarify where we are this morning:

    We believe this may have been to do with an external infrastructure update, which happened around 6pm on Friday evening. We're working on a solution, but it might be most of the day/tomorrow before it is resolved.
    • The weekend's maintenance wasn't planned - DTL was taken down as it related to the issues players were experiencing getting into game
    • It wasn't caused by an update involving our games, or one we'd pushed to Dovetail Live
    We'll keep you updated, but it's likely Dovetail Live will be down until late today, or tomorrow. When our Engineers have more, we'll let you know.

    Update: Monday 22nd May, 20:00

    We have located the source of the issue, and have begun to start the process of putting Dovetail Live functionality back into game.

    Players should be able to log back in, track and use Mastery, and use Railfan Shots, as well as log back into the forums if they were unable ro log in - we will look to re-enable Creators Club tomorrow.

    We are aware of some issues, including logging in for Xbox Series S/X, and will review those tomorrow.

    Good morning :) We've had some reports of PS5 players still experiencing issues when trying to log into DTL services and are investigating.

    As soon as we have news we'll let you know, thank you again for your patience.

    News has arrived! Players on Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5 should no longer experience issues logging into DTL services.

    Creators Club has also been re-enabled.

    If you are still encountering a problem, please feel free to send me a message and I can let out internal teams know. Thank you all for your patience.

    We are still looking at a couple of outstanding issues:
    • Re-directs after logging out of DTG Forums. (Engineers investigating)
    • Login and registration issues on Train Simulator Classic. (Engineers investigating)
