Hello, I hope someone here can help me. I purchased a route yesterday, ie. the New Jersey line in the USA. The route is showing up under my profile in TS but it is unplayable. And I cannot view it under Careers or any other tab. Please help me. Thanks
In steam profile under the Library tab scroll down to downloads and check to see if there is a pending download. If there is a pending then just click on the download icon and it will download. If you already done that then shutdown steam and restart it, still having issues I would submit a ticket.
Thank you Michael. I tried both suggestions, there was nothing pending, and after closing and reopening the steam client, there was still nothing. I will submit a ticket as you recommended. thank you
Once it says it's downloaded and installed, run a file verification and it's likely to say there's 1 file missing which needs reacquiring. I've been having this for a few months so just do it as a matter of course now.
Hi Quizote, Steam support usually recommends that if an item cannot be installed for Train Simulator you try the following steps which have been taken directly from a response sent by Steam support to a customer who had a similar issue to yourself. 1. Clear your download cache 2. Go to (default location): C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ 3. Delete the "Steamworks Shared" folder (if you have it; be sure to check your other drives) 4. Go into the folder for Train Simulator and delete the "_CommonRedist" folder (if you have it) 5. Go to your Steam Library > right-click Train Simulator > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files 6. Re-launch Train Simulator
I'm having the same problem as the OP. I have 3 items listed in my Library as Uninstalled ticking/unticking does nothing. Others on the Steam forum are having the same problem. Ticket submitted to Steam BTW I'm not faffing about in my files to solve a problem that seems to come from Steam/DTG DTG please tell us why this problem has suddenly occurred.
FWIW I think it’s an issue with the Steam Client. I backed up trainsim then uninstalled and reinstalled Steam and it seems to have done the trick. Obviously if you’ve got many games installed backing it all up would be pretty difficult! Hopefully Steam will fix the issue soon.
