I brought the south wales coastal route Bristol to swansea and the 158 DMU coastal pack and its not letting me use the 158.Is the costal bristol to cardiff different to bristol to swansea.

Yes so, as I think you suspect, the scenarios included with the DMU pack aren't showing up because they're for Bristol-Cardiff. It's not the end of the world- I'm thinking of buying some of the SWC DLC so I had a look in the Workshop and there are scenarios for them on Bristol-Swansea.
thankyou because also on steam it said I could not purchase the bristol to cardiff route because I owned the bristol to swansea route
You did not read the part of the page which says Also included are scenarios specifically for the South Wales Coastal – Bristol to Cardiff route (available separately and required to play these scenarios). You can still use the trains in the pack in Quick Drive or in a different scenario by changing the stock Peter
