    Introduction:

Only a short suggestion today, this one will give an idea on some quality of life improvements for tsw that could help improve gameplay.

    •FOV slider
An option to adjust the FOV would add more immersion for certain players, allowing you a more realistic drivers eye view, or a view to show the whole cab at once.

    Example of default FOV:

    Example of a wider FOV:

    (Not my screenshots

    •More camera views
Some extra camera views would give more variety to gameplay, for example a passenger view would allow players to relax and watch the scenery fly by on services with longer distance between stations.
An option to switch cabs without walking across the train would help a lot, especially for longer freight trains or shunting services
Another idea is a camera that teleports your free cam to the next station you are due to pass, so you can get shots of your train passing that station.

    Extra free mode options
Some of my ideas for this are:
    • Remotely spawning trains
    • Swapping timetabled trains out, for example swapping out a class 314 and putting a class 385 onto a service on Cathcart circle.
    • Dragging a consist along the track (Not having to board and set up the train to move it)
    • Being able to path non-player
    trains.
    • Adding stops to a path
•Changing weather and teleworking between stations in-game
•Settings to turn off SPADing, derailments, and more
These would make free mode feel a lot more free, and would allow players to create their own timetables

Feel free to drop your own ideas for gameplay improvements as well!

    These sound fantastic!
    I'm particularly keen on the:
    - Passenger view
    - Camera teleport to next station
    - Swapping trains out
    - Adding stops to a path
    - Turning off SPADing etc. as a user toggleable option. It's very annoying overshooting a signal by like 1 yard due to rain/snow and misjudging it and then the game ending.

    General improvements I fancy seeing

-Safety system on by default setting
-Fast free cam by default setting
-Auto save (once save games issues are fixed)
    -PC control scheme on console
-Option to remove ‘objective complete’ message from the screen with the HUD still on
-accelerometer on minimal HUD with the current speed showing
-opacity slider for all HUD types

Regarding SPAD overide, suggested this a while back but think it was vetoed by the devs on account it could be used to stage and record collisions, or disrupt the flow of the timetable. However I remain unconvinced. You can overide SPAD's in TSC and in fact on some routes which use invisible signals as triggers, it's essential. If you SPAD, particularly at the end of the run where the kind person creating the scenario put the stop marker on top of the signal with a 1m trigger radius, then there should be some leeway. If you SPAD and would run through points or collide with another train, then yes game over and off for tea and biscuits with your virtual manager.

In real life if you spad, it's a serious offense that can lead to the loss of a job so it makes sense to end the session

I worked on the railway for 40 years so will aware of that matey. If you took your posture to its logical extent then after 3 SPAD's in game it would delete itself and never allow you to play again. It's a game and there are certain situations which arise due to DTG's shoddy coding or marker placements where the "break glass" to get past a red signal might save the run or scenario. If you actually bothered to read what I put, I specifically excluded situations which could lead to a conflict with another train. And again, if you were actually paying attention, instead of being patronising, you would see I also put TSC allows this. So DTG are two faced, permitting in their "serious" train game, but not in TSW.

I'm a very big fan of an FOV slider, would be great for a change of FOV to what you wish in trains as I feel like a driver with a hunchback nearly headbutting my window. But with SPAD's as well, OldVern has concluded pretty much spot on.

This suggestion is great, there should have been a passenger veiw from the start. Also the free roam additions are also a must have.

SPAD does rather mess up the rather fragile signals system in game, that’s probably where the main issue lies.

I agree! They should also add one of those ‘drivers eye view style video’ cameras. (Such as Don Coffeys videos)

FYI I’m new to this threads thingy + I’m typing on mobile so I do apologise if my quotes and text become all muddled up

Love the passenger POV camera idea.

Passengers need a bit of an upgrade too, pressing door release should only release the door controls for use, not opening the doors passengers should open them.

Ability to walk through the engine room of the HST 43 to the coaches and include the door control box between them.

More trains with working destination boards especially the m7 lirr.

If you spawn in on foot add ability to click on a paper timetable somewhere on station at each platform which will open a window saying “the next train to arrive at platform 1 is the 10:16 service to x calling at x would you like to skip to arrival time.
