Queens Jubilee Elizabeth Il 70

Will DTG release an Elizabeth II 70 in purple for the Jubilee? This would really be fantastic. The locomotive has been running on the SVR this weekend and looks absolutely amazing. It is a livery repaint of Taw Valley 34027 locomotive.

 

There's already a West Country Pacific in TS so it wouldn't surprise me if someone has come up with a reskin or is working on it.

As to the real thing I'm not really sure what to make of it but I'm not crazy about the colour for a start. Would it be controversial to rename LMS Princess Royal Class 6201 as Queen Elizabeth II and build a programme of events around her? She is already named after the HRH after all so it would be more of an updating.

 

Purple is the Queens Royal colour that’s why this livery was chosen.

 

I figured. Still not crazy about it- reminds me of the Porterbrook Deltic.

 

Lots of People have made reskins of 34027 Taw Valley like JRS and Alan Thomson

 

In fact, Bossman Games has already applied this coating to the release Bulleid Light locomotive, which you can buy directly on Steam.
