Will the BR class 465 for TSW2 be BREL or Metro-Cammell version?

Huh. I thought it would be one of the ones with the Hitachi traction motors so DTG could copy over the sounds from the 395.

I hope it has the ‘Formula 1 like’ sound on acceleration.

They’d have a job, considering how the Metro-Cammell one sounds.

The Hitachi traction motors sound incredibly similar to a 395 anyway.

The 395 is built by Hitachi.

They are doing the Class 465/9 that has Met Cam traction motors, they need to them. Aren't DTG accurate to real thing like they say. If they reused the Class 395 i will laught so hard

That is I think the issue people have with this attitude. It's not win/lose its draw/lose, you just can't win. Not a fair game to play. If you hand out criticism you also have to acknowledge good work.

  12. Ok, let's acknowledge good work: DB BR 442, ICE 3 and Class 166 sounds.
Now let's acknowledge bad work: Class 375 and Class 395 sounds.

I hope that the Class 465 sounds are not as rushed as those, and remotely resemble the real thing

BR 442, ICE 3 sounds were made by TSG Germany, that's why they are so good as the well the 425 and 423. UK content needs a good individual to focus on sounds, i wish AP did sounds for TSW

They have - they did the sounds for the East Coastway 377, which everyone hates. They then went on to do the 377 EP for TS1... which a lot of people hated.

However, to be fair to them though, I don't remember this much controversy about the 377's sounds literally until about 2 weeks ago, so I've no idea what happened.

In my opinion the sounds of the 377 are good and you can feel the detail on it. AP should do more.

  16. I actually made a thread specifically about this, TSG makes the best sounds by far, but the creator of the new Class 166 sounds remains anonymous, and those were very good in my opinion.

I’m surprised DTG didn’t include the Sheerness Branch with SEHS considering they knew they were developing a 465. So it looks like the 465 will just run the same services as the 375 with no new ones added.

  19. I initially liked the sounds for the class 377, since some of the sounds, such as the running sounds and the idle sound are quite nice, and positively add to the ambience. However, having travelled on the 377 IRL a fair bit since East Coastway's release, I've discovered that the motor sounds don't remotely resemble the real train.

There is a mod for the 377 by ItsYa165 here: https://mods.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world-2/c20-sounds/i16-class-377-sound-mod-v2 and it's fricking amazing, far superior to the original sounds, even including generic southern announcements.

Side note: I just visited the website and there is a temporary improvement for the horrible class 395 sounds, which is linked here: https://mods.trainsimcommunity.com/...0-sounds/i654-class-395-sound-mod-placeholder
I am going to test it right now, thanks ItsYa165!
