Question About Hauptstecke Hamburg - Lübeck And Db Br 101

Hey,
The DB BR 101 Add-On also adds services for the Hamburg - Lübeck route, but on the shop site it says that Hauptstrecke Rhein - Ruhr is a prerequisite for getting the BR 101. My question is if I can just buy the DB BR 101 add-on and have it run on Hamburg - Lübeck without buying Hauptstecke Rhein - Ruhr?

It’s home route is HRR, without the presence of HRR it won’t appear anywhere

It's part of DTG's strategy. To be able to drive a specific train in a specific route, first purchase another route and the loco addon.

 

It's not really, the only reason it's the way is is because the Loco is an add-on for HRR.
The layers on HBL are just a little cherry on the cake.
