Hello! Please help me with this info. I own TSW 3 and TSW 4... If I buy now TSW 2, will the Bakerloo and Koln routes be available in TSW 4? And if so, do I have to first install TSW 2? Thank you. I'm a bit new to this simulator! Have a great week.
I believe you'll get TSW4 copies of those DLCs as they're, well, DLCs... but you don't have to download the whole game, you can then just check your DLC manager on the TSW4 library page if the two new DLCs are there
Hey there, You won't have to install Train Sim World 2 to play it's routes in Train Sim World 4. If you still have Train Sim World 2 installed we recommend keeping it installed until you transferred your profile data, after that you can uninstall it if you wish. Add-Ons from older game are backwards compatible and can be used in Train Sim World 4, but require a fresh download and install. You can find more information about backwards compatible content in our official guide here: https://dovetailgames.freshdesk.com...6985-train-sim-world-4-faq#Compatible-Content I hope I was able to help, let me know if you have any further questions. All the best, Jan
I want the Koln and Bakerloo lines and individually they are more expensive than buying TSW 2... As I already own TSW 3 and TSW 4, I will buy TSW 2 just so I can play those routes in TSW 4. Thank you for taking the time to answer!
You'll have also Sand Patch Grade available. SKöln - Aachen + Bakerloo + Sand Patch were part of the TSW2 starting bundle of three routes. They were split up only later on with the TSW3 launch. So, if you're into American freight, SPG, as old as it might be, is IMHO still the best route for such purpose.
Add-ons are forwards compatible, but not backwards compatible (or rather: new games are backwards compatible)
I did buy TSW 2 and as soon as I activated it on steam, TSW 4 started downloading the new content automatically. Thank all for your answers!
just to put confusion but accuracy to that, some are backwards others are not I get confused which so I would always advise owning the oldest as you can’t go wrong or checking compatibility properly if a newer one is cheaper.
