When a signal gives me a speed restriction (ie. green/yellow 40kph), is that speed enforced for the entire block, or until the next speed limit sign?

I assume you want to have the maximum authenticity, since the game doesn't care about signal induced speed limits. I'd expect it to be valid until whatever comes next, another main signal or a speed limit sign. But don't hold me responsible, I'm not employed by any railroad company. ^^

Thanks, I play with Pzb. It's kinda pointless if I don't follow the signals and such

Hehe, that's right, using PZB requires you to obey the speed limits. The manual for the MSB route gives a comprehensive description how to do it. If you want more information I'd recommend to look on Youtube for videos covering this. Alas, they're mostly in German.

Main signal Hp 2 (green/yellow): Speed limit 40 km/h (if not indicated otherwise) until end of the following switching area -> last wagon passes the last switch.

    German only:

Been using it for a few years successfully now, was just wondering about the signal induced speed restrictions, but thank you nonetheless!

I assume the speed limit applies until the next sign or signal when there is no switching involved?

No! Hp 2 signal is only at switching areas .... other reasons for speed limitations are given by other signals,
    for example:
    Hp1 with Zs3
