Hello everyone, could someone explain to me what these sign boards mean ? I guess it is for stopping the train, but what are their differences ? Thank you !
Spot B and Spot Cab are for the five coach sets. Spot B 6 and Spot Cab 6 were introduced in 2015 for the longer six coach sets. The difference between B and Cab is that B is for the Baby Bullet and Cab is for the F40PH-2CAT. I’ve taken some screenshots of different length trains. The left is a 5 coach set. And the two on the right are 6 coach sets. It’s pretty obvious why a 6 coach has to go further up the platform than a 5 coach. But what isn’t so obvious is how come the F40PH has to go further than the Baby Bullet because with six coaches, they are both almost exactly the same length as you can see the picture. The answer is in the second picture- the doors on the coach are in different positions and as you can see for the doors to be level, the F40PH would need to go forward a few yards hence why the stop board is a few yards difference from the baby bullet. The F40PH has slightly longer coaches and a smaller loco. The Baby bullet has shorter coaches but a bigger loco hence making it the same size. I’ve moved the F40PH forwards so that doors are level and as you can see, the few yards difference between the F40PH and Baby Bullet is similar to the difference in stop boards.
