Hi, Today (06/03/23), I checked to see if any of the LMS 4Fs are in service. I was checking so I would roughly know where DTG would be going to get the sounds for their in-game 4F and I found out that all 3 preserved locomotives were either awaiting or under overhaul (I knew 44422 was out of action because I'm somewhat local to the CVR). So my question is: How will DTG get the sound for the 4F? The only surviving MR 3835 Class is also out of action
They probably have personal recordings, beta team members probably have something. Model railroads or other partners (probably Bossman games, i could be wrong tho) might have their own recordings. Or they might just modify their recordings made for sos if they can't get anything at all. And if they don't have certain sounds, they can synthesize it. Whatever it is, dtg will have some sort of sound to make it close to the real thing.
