Bleurgh... All foreign rubbish.. Of course you can drive from London to Edinburgh which is 393 miles with mods and addons but I don't know the requirements and it doesn't fall within the scope of the OP's question anyway.
Valley Corridor is 126 Miles long, Marsdonshire is a network that's about 100 Miles overall. LGV Rhone-Alpes is 192 Miles long, possibly the longest end-to-end route on Steam. South West China High Speed us a network, the end to end run is less than that.
Is length the only thing that matters, or does subject matter count? Other long routes are West Highland South, Donner Pass and many of RSSLO's routes.
Thank you everyone for the reply I'm new to TSC but a veteran TSW player... I'm looking to drive the variety of rolling stock & experiences that TSC offers ( & TSW lacks ATM ). I recently learned that you can create quite detailed scenarios here. So I want to have my own Railtour / Heritage moves, equipment moves, etc. Nothing that you'll see every day. ( Not interested in normal 'timetable' type runs ). I want to do something wacky, while I'm looking away from TSW, on occasion... Like - Tow a special consignment of cargo Inspect the path before the royal train is due Maybe HST went on a publicity tour around the world If IC engines were never invented & railways are still a steam utopia Stuff like that Back to my original question - I thought maybe the longest route will have the most room to do stuff... More yards, mainlines, sheds, sidings & so on... That was my intention behind the question... That's insane I'm getting it anyways. Thanks ! Kind of what I'm looking for. I believe there are lots of yards & stuff ?! Where can I get it ? Being a French route, I think it'll be free for a while in the coming days. Definitely a pick ! Yes, basically how much can I do with that route, that's what I would love to see...

Erm, length doesn't always equal the most fun. The Canadian Mountain Passes is probably the most versatile in terms of a driving experience, 159 miles, including a 10 mile tunnel, 50mph around Golden / KC Junction, otherwise a mix of grades and speeds. But, it's otherwise in the middle of nowhere, so limited shunting. The oldest routes used to be involved with as much versatility as possible. For the UK, I believe there is a "full GWML" thingie under the name of Southwestern Expressways or somesuch. Third party, quite demanding, but it should bring pretty much everything. The "new Bristol-Exeter" is sort of similar on Steam. In Germany, I'd argue Köln-Koblenz or maybe Koblenz-Trier. Both around 100km which is relatively shorter, but plenty of yards and a range of speeds. I think the semi-Slovenian RSSLO route is quite long, but my calendar says 2013 and I don't know how versatile it is in terms of activities. Overall I wouldn't care much, if you collect a few routes and stock, you can mix and match, and unless you want to spend entire days in a single scenario, it ultimately doesn't matter. Try the West Highland Extension line (Fort William to Mallaig). Fundamentally it's a simple single track point to point (the downside), but it goes through some beautifully modelled dramatic and varied scenery and has a few yards at the southern end, though they're not particularly big. It's also the route where the Harry Potter train sequences were filmed so you can let your inner Hogwarts run free if you want. I also suggest the Berlin - Leipzig route and its extension. It's long, fast and has some massive yards and stations, with a reasonably varied landscape along its length. Konstanz-Villingen is another great route. It's been developed by an individual known for his commitment to accuracy, and the modelling of the route and rolling stock is first class. There is little in the TSC Steam world that equals it for accuracy. The route is medium sized, both in terms of length and size of facilities. If it has one drawback it's lifelessness away from the track. There is little sign of people or other activity outside stations. There is an extension by another developer if you want to increase it.
This is SO COOL !!! Thanks I agree... Yesterday I bought Corris Railway & it's expansion locos. That's such a nice experience. Even with like 4 stations & locos. I'm loving it so far... That's what I'm planning to do... Will do Saw the screenshots, looks stunning ! Is it Maik from TSG ?
Maik Goltz. At one time he was also associated with Virtual Railroads, but there seems to have been a parting of the ways.
