Question For The Dresden Riesa

hi everyone I am wondering whether we will be able to use the RE 15 RE 3 and RE 18 and RE 20 services because its services go to dresden neustadt and will the EC services be available with IC and Br cars 101
because otherwise the line is not incredible and also will we be able to manoeuvre with the BR 101 in EC if the services are available with the line?

Good question about the EC, because the coaches are actually by CD and DB, right? So it's possible that EC is not included at all. Or does DB also operate EC-trains in Dresden?

 

yes with a BR 101 or Vectron and the eurofima DB or eurofima CD

 

Nowadays it's pretty much only CD Vectron and CD Eurofimas (with the exception of Hungaria using MAV Eurofimas and sometimes one it two DB ones). There's also pair of Vindobonas with a Railjet set.

There will be no EC services. Only the IC services with the BR 101 and ICE services with the BR 406.

 

Have they confirmed that? Because I totally see them adding a few AI services with the 101 + IC coaches instead of the ČD vectron + ČD eurofima coaches, going of the map on the fast line to Berlin. They did mention a lot of AI services being included (to achieve the Rush Hour feel), and it could kind of make sense, as it would make the route feel busier.



Sidenote, I have suggested a route where the EC actually runs end to end, the Elbtalstrecke between Dresden - Dečin, with the ČD 193 and Eurofima coaches. Check it out if you're interested in the EC services.

 

In some streams they said that there will be IC services and they didnt mention any EC services so its safe to assume that there will be no EC services.

A confirmation on that regard would be nice nonetheless.

 

I'll ask whether there are AI EC services when we get to the preview streams if I remember.
