Hello everyone, it's great that there are already so many exciting route projects for TSW. This enhances the game again. Thanks to everyone who is already so active here. I have another suggestion for a route: the southern railway in Baden Württemberg, from Ulm to Friedrichshafen. You could also continue the route to Lindau. It is a beautiful route with great scenery, beautiful places. Worth mentioning are the rivers Donau and Schussen, then Lake Constance, cities such as Ulm, Ravensburg or the Aulendorf railway junction. Or, of course, Friedrichshafen Airport. Is anyone interested in building this track? Unfortunately, I have no knowledge of UE4 or the editor.
Thanks back to you as someone who is interested in them. Unfortunately, not so many users in the forum care about them (maybe because the majority of route projects are germany based and the majority of users active in the forum are not germans I think). You know, Building a route is very tough task. As I guess, we all have a more or less personal motivation for the projects we dedicate our free time for several months to (in my case its at least so). It's not like we deliberately selecting routes for fun just because we like them or a few things sound interesting. Choosing a route is a tough decision as it requires loads of work and time to realize it. As we also probably won't have any (financial) benefit from it as only having the route, I would dare to place the thesis, that noone here is really interested about making a route which doesn’t really has a connection to them or which isn't 100% attracting to the specific creator. Therefore I think the chances that someone takes a suggestion like this and transforms that into a finished project after months of work and dedication to it, is pretty less. I would say: You want the route in TSW probably the most, so you have the best motivation for this project to start and even finish it. This is very very important for anyone making a route become virtually in TSW. When I started my project, I had so too and still know less about Unreal Engine. But everyday I'm trying to learn more and now after almost 3 months of knowing nothing at all before back in October, I arrived at a stage where 27km of track is laid on my route (inclusive a huge railyard), I did my first ride on it and even roughly build almost all cities with domestic houses at this section. I mean the Editor is hard to use sometimes (especially when it crashed every 4 to 5 minutes when laying track) but if we really can achieve routes like DTG does with it more or less, I think it's worth to dig yourself into it and start creating your dream route. I did so for me and I'm happy with it so far. I hope that DTG does not abandon the improvements and lessens about the Editor as it got a little silent around it. But let's see where it goes and maybe try it. That's all I can recommend to you to make your route project happen some day.
