Does it include a route editor? Is it possible to create real-world routes? *Others who have questions, please use this thread to continue with your own questions regarding CTS
Think the answers to that are no and no. As I understand it, CTS is a standalone product using the developer's own fictional world. Not intended as a sandbox in the way some of the train sims are.
Well obviously the developers or DTG need to give a definitive answer though having set up this forum area, seem to be largely absent!
Only time will tell. I was hoping to find out if there would be an editor available in-game and not using Unreal Engine like TSW 4! I can't figure it out, my knowledge for UE is very limited, it seems to me that whoever or DTGs expects us to immediately know how to use UE to create routes and importing models into a game without proper instructions on doing so. Fair enough, TSW 4 tutorials are useful but if I can expect that CTS is going to be like this, please take the game back to the drawing board and start over and provide an in-game editor like TSC has. I can understand about CTS being a fictional route as a 'Free Demo Beta' it is absolutely ridiculous needing to pay for CTS at this present stage. In Australia, the price is around $45 on Steam which isn't really a 'Fair Price' for something that only has a few real trams and a fictional German route. If there were some UK, German or US 'Real' tram routes including trams that you unlock as you gain new skills that would have been a fantastic idea! I'm not trying to ruin CTS for anyone! When I found it on Steam, I've added the game to my wish list and it's still there a long with a few routes for TSC and other DLCs for other games. I do have hopes for the game! But if it's all going to be fictional and have no official in-game editor. No Thank You!!
dtg_jan This game deserves a route editor. The future of a game like this depends in part on the community. I'm afraid the game will lose interest if we only have one or two fictional maps..
I understand that this game will eventually be released on Xbox, but will it be available for Xbox One machines?
In short, yes it will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S Buy City Transport Simulator: Tram | Xbox
I have similar feelings, but the game has so little content now that it doesn't inspire confidence. I wrote about it here if you're interested.
Hello there, Currently you are not able to lay your own track, but you can indeed create your own tram lines in Tramau, using the 25 kilometers of dense networking tracks. You're also able to customise your lines by giving them different names, colours and liveries. The map has already received a free extension and more free extensions are planned for the future. Here's a map of the current network: All the best, Jan
