I found a great deal for one of these at a regional pawn shop for a used one, so I was wondering if there is anything I should look out for before buying it? I noticed on the official website, the SKU is RD-91-MDT-R, but a lot of the ones on eBay and the one in the shop is labeled RD-91-MDT-A. I'm assuming this means this is an older variant, but am I correct to assume the software can be set up the same way as long as I download the latest drivers? Is there anything that is version specific with regards to TSW4 operations? Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about an older variant, I've had mine for nearly twenty years and it works fine. I do use mine only for TSC and OpenRails, and have heard TSW control can be a bit buggy, but that's more on DTG's end than PI Engineering. The only issue I have with my unit is the wiper and headlight switches get a little tough to twist. Everything else though works like a champ, even after dusty home environments and several moves.

If you end up buying one and using it for TSC, I highly suggest using the third party "Raildriver & Joystick Interface" instead of the PI Engineering program...
