i am kinda excited about the class 377/2s and i just want to ask. So far are there any interior pictures from the game being shown so far? And will the Class 377/2s (after buying WCML) will they be usable or layered on to East Coastway Route and the Brighton Mainline route?
I'm pretty sure it gonna same as the one in London commuter route. The class377/2 does have AC and DC mode.
As Matt said on a previous thread - they don’t tend to go back to old addons with newer stock unless in the case of a remaster as adding new trains to a timetable isn’t as quick of a job as it sounds. Safe bet would be to assume they won’t be added to BML and ECW (Unless using free roam or scenario planner) But aside from being dual voltage, I’m not particularly sure what other major differences there are with the newer upcoming 377 - so I don’t really think it would even be worth adding it to older routes
Hopefully they will set it up to substitute for the ECW and BML 377's, so they don't need to change any timetables
I don’t see why it would be necessary? Aside from the dual voltage what other differences are there? Do the dual voltage units even run in those areas? I’m not local so I’m genuinely not sure, but assuming that the only change to the upcoming 377/2 is the dual voltage functionality alone, I really can’t see DTG going back to older routes and adding it in, even as a substitute - unless there is some kind of significant, overall improvement to the 377 in general, but assuming it’s just the same as the previous iterations we already have
The 377/2 does the Milton Keynes services on BML in real life. But on BML in game, no OHLE is present. So, while nice to have, it is an unnecessary, barely noticeable change.
The dual voltage units only really make sense on the East Croydon to Watford Junction services that run on the slow lines between East Croydon and Clapham Junction. The inclusion of the 377/2 can free up stock that could be used to represent other services, as I understand that there may not be enough stock to represent the full timetable at the moment. I may be mistaken about that, though.
If the WCML 377 gets suspension, updated rain effects, etc it will be a lot better that the earlier versions. I suppose it may not make much sense in terms of timetables though
Yeah, I'm hoping it actually gets an upgrade and is not just being fitted with a pantograph and calling it a day
the 377/2 is a completely different train to the 377/4 apart from the pantograph the interior is different too due it being a earlier version of the 377s. And more noticeably the partition doors for the first class section, which only the 377/4 and 377/5 have while the /1, /2 and /3 (and i believe the other 375s) dont have the partition doors. Also does anybody know how far do we get to drive the 377/2 on? Do we only get to drive up to wembley central from watford or do we get to drive up to the point where we get switch powers before ending the service there?
Do they have different seating arrangements? I'm trying to find images online to compare the two interiors but am unsure. I also notice a very slightly different seat design?
as far as i can remember no. Only the 1/ have weird seating configurations. Other than that (not counting the /3). all 4 car 377 all have 2+2 on the leading/end cars and the middle having 2+3.
I imagine the playable services will end at the final stop on the route before it goes off map as with all other content. Makes no sense at all to end the playable service in the middle of nowhere just to include a power change over
I think differences are not there. I’ve ridden both and they seem exactly the same aside from the obvious.
