Title says it all really. The quick drive feature in TS2021 was brilliant and so a consist customiser and quick drive feature would be good.

So we can have an EMD F-7 pull the gallery cars of Caltrain?

Agreed. Quick Drive mode in Train Simulator was awesome, it was flexible and quick to set up.

Now, TSW Timetable mode is nice, but it's restricted to specific trains. TSW Scenario creator offers more flexibility, but takes a while to set up (especially when you want some AI traffic).

If we could combine the benefits of TSW timetable mode with TSW scenario creator, we could have something which might be even better than TS quick drive. Major downside of TS quick drive was the AI trains were pretty random, signals were all clear, and the player train didn't always take the route you wanted to (like TS Semmeringbahn avoiding any platforms it could, pretty much making it impossible to drive a commuter service in quick drive mode).

Personally I think timetable mode should just have an "off the rails" mode, and allow any train on any service.

Timetable mode with off the rails is a perfect idea. Yes
