Why has quitting the game became so much harder than it needed to be. I did not know that in order to quit the game you have to old LB to access the options tab to then get access to quitting the game. This has become more complicated than it needed to be. What was wrong with just pressing start, having the option to save and then quit. Which has worked perfectly well in TSW and TSW2 before this update.
There are some truly baffling choices when it comes to the new menus. It's one of those cases of change for change's sake without paying any heed to the maxim "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Well, it's actually become easier because it requires less button presses now to quit Just because it's different and you have to get used to it doesnt mean it's more difficult
It requires a button press to get to the screen, then a HOLD to bring up the menu, then clicking down the menu to get to the quit option same as before (I note you can't just click up to get the to the bottom option, which would be the intuitive way of doing it) Proper design, you make the flow as simple and intuitive as possible, and industry standard is a single press to bring up the menu, then the option being clearly visible right there.
It takes 4 clicks to get to "return to main menu" How many did it take with the old UI? *EDIT* - it took about 6 clicks with the old UI to get back to the main menu "It takes a button press to get the screen" Yes, this is in every single game you play, not just TSW2
This part is NOT in every single game. In the time it takes to hold it and bring the menu up I would have already reached the bottom of the menu and "selected return to main menu" prior to the patch. It adds time, and it adds the use of a third digit, and an additional type of input. Every single other game out there does it the old way because that's the result of forty years of streamlining menu interfaces.
OK, you can click 6 times faster than you can 4? and yes, you have to click the menu button in EVERY game to get to the option for quitting to the main menu youre acting like you have to hold down LB for 5 seconds at best, it takes the same amount of time but it's less button clicks and that's an irrefutable fact
