One vexing thing obvious at training center is that the HUD displays radial distance from a station and not track distance: on a curve you get no closer or, on some routes, slightly farther from the next location while on that curve. This is not so with the HUD for Subwaysim Hamburg, now sometimes called Subwaysim 1. The arrow gives radial distance, the top line gives track distance. One is for your mental map, the other for accel, speed, coasting and braking. I really appreciate having both in Hamburg and expect the same in Berlin where U3 turns south from U1. The more curves, the more relevant.
Matt explained something like that it is more complex for the game to calculate the track distance, and would result in decreased performance. I think he said they were looking at it though, and think its very important that it comes.
