Running the North American routes one aspect is noticeable by its absence - the ever present background of communications between the despatcher and the various trains out and about on the line. Even the vintage locos in Clinchfield have a radio set at the control stand. At least some of the US routes in TS have this and of course anyone familiar with Run 8 has enjoyed the dulcet phrases such as, “Brian, are you still out there?”, “269, what can I do for you. Over.” It should not be beyond the wit or imagination to come up with some means of implementing this, maybe licence some clips from one of the scanner channels that can be found around the web. Obviously permissions have been granted in the past for such elements to appear in other games.
There is some radio chatter on SPG, but it's pretty incoherent and sporadic. Might depend on the loco or whether the radio is actually functional and switched on. It's definitely not " Foreman Hernandez", though.
