This particular DLC has some issues I hope to adress....... First off the buttons have no sounds to them. The generator is stale and dead with no indication it is on or off. It's light fixtures are off. There is no smoke comming from the diesel exaust. There is no typical diesel generator motor sound at all. I can't see any water spray jets at all. There is no debris or leafs beeing cleared out at all. And there is no acess to the generator pannel at all either to interact with the buttons. There is no indication that there are crushed leaves and moisture leave a slippery film on top of rails, they look shiny and polished before the cleaning. loco's windows rain effect is missing
It's just a visual effect rather than actually doing something so it doesn't actually change adhesion or clean anything and there's no artwork for crushed leaves or anything in game. Has been explained several times. And there are visible water spray effects if you set it up properly. And the other issues have been there since launch and no hope to fix them cuz they would have been fixed by now but haven't. If you're on pc, there is a mod where it adds the generator and water spray sounds.
I think that expecting the rails to get dirty over time and then be visibly cleaned by the RHTT is expecting far too much from this DLC. The spray effects and the rain on the loco screen have been fixed already as far as I’m aware. I’m certainly seeing them on PS5.
It all works ok on the PC version. You need to power up the transmitter in order, you will then get the power on lights and spray from the jets.
Hey i've checked on the PC again. and I can confirm now the jet spray effect and i valindated the files. However no lights on the generator machine, would of been a nice touch especially if it flickred a bit two. the diesel smoke would of been good as well. Can anyone confirm? Also ther is a wardrobe malfunction on the DLC it relies on. I see vintage dressed men and women but they are wearing 21st century caps. that's not right...
