I am considering purchasing a Raildriver controller so that I can get rid of the TSW HUD on trains where the controls are not in the field of view, like the Class 170 Turbostar. I'd also like a bit more precision with the continuous CPBC in Class 385, and less awkward control of the vacuum brakes with the Class 101. The complication is that Raildriver is not officially supported with Steam Link which could be a dealbreaker for me. My Windows PC which runs TSW4 via Steam is in a cupboard attached to a cheap monitor as I use that PC exclusively by remote. I have a very nice display attached to my Mac mini which I use to play TSW4 on the PC via Steam Link; the Apple Studio Display cannot be physically connected to the Windows PC. I would like to know if anybody here has been able to successfully use a Raildriver controller with Steam Link, even with Steam Link on Windows as I can pass the Raildriver USB through to a Parallels virtual machine. Feedback would be appreciated, and maybe I can offer some nice Fife Circle route learning videos if I can get rid of that intrusive HUD and know where my power / brake handle is.
