Raildriver is supposed to be coming to tsw at some point in the future. Anyone out there know if a Raildriver in theory would work on console as a keyboard would?

Yeah me too! It would add to my collection of controllers, steering wheel and flight stick*. :)

I suppose the main problem would be that of compatibility with licencing issues. The unit would need the appropriate console specific buttons and functions, so would need two units really. I wouldn't think there's a problem with the consoles reading the inputs from Raildriver if TSW supported it.

Depending on how sales of TSW are going on console there may or may not be the market to justify the development.

*I did try the flight stick throttle on TSW since it would have been ideal, but sadly it was a no go.

I would buy one in a heart beat but I play on console ☹️. I can imagine the market for them is pretty small. I’m assuming without a lot of people asking for on it for console they would lose money so I understand but I can still wish. I play on PS4 and my best advice is getting a cheap keyboard at a thrift store to use. I started using a keyboard a couple weeks ago and it’s totally improved my TSW experience all around!

Hi! Was it the flight stick used for Ace combat? I was thinking that as well but I saw a video on YouTube setting it up for computer and I knew if you had to go in and change files on PC you wouldn’t be able to use it on console ☹️

It is the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 (I think there is an Ace Combat edition).

It's fully compatible and approved with the PS4 and has lots of controls but unfortunately not many games support it. I got it for the space flight game Elite Dangerous. The throttle would have been great for a combined accelerator, brake loco.

I wonder if Microsoft will make one with the announcement of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 for Xbox One.

Well Thrustmaster do already make the near identical T.Flight Hotas One for the Xbox. I would like to think it would make sense for FS2020 to include support for it.
I'd like a decent flight sim for the PlayStation.

We're going a bit off topic here. :)

Hopefully this can change in the near future as console users would see a big benefit for this working on consoles.

I‘d buy one in a heartbeat if it was available on console, but I understand that from your perspective it‘s probably not worth the hassle.

I cannot see why it can't be done after all it needs is a usb port to plug into and consoles have those. All you really is a mouse to do the calibration test. Everything else is done from within TSW just like on PC.

Not sure whether the unique version of Windows 10 that runs on X Box is compatible. And PS4 can't run Windows at all I believe. You might need to involve Sony or Microsoft as well as DTG and PIE. So far as I know, RD needs at least Windows 8.

Not sure what it would take but you think that it shouldn't be that difficult. And given now seeing a uptick in users playing TSW on Consoles you think that would be push to make it work.
