Loco Railjet On Salzburg To Rosenheim?

as Salzburg-Rosenheim has (kinda) been announced, I was wondering if we are going to get a Railjet for the route or if anyone would develop one. If my research is correct Railjets would've run on the line back in 2010.

 

Nothing announced, not many routes come with more locos than 1 and the BR 111 is announced for that route.

I have no clue on licensing, I doubt DTG would announce if they had it for spoiler reasons.

 

DTG have the license for obb which is what railjet is so that would be no problem

 

theirs the terms of agreements with OBB, railjet may not be part of that, DB does similar with ICE.

DB is also the owner/ or something similar with Arriva, DTG don’t have the Arriva license similarly as far as I’m aware.

 

We can still hope that there will be EC trains as they are as far as I'm conserned operated by DB Fernverkehr, that DTG has a license to

I don't think it will be included with the new route. Maybe, if we're lucky, as a separate loco dlc. I would get that.

 

Probably one of those 'Loco-Add-on' Bundles, but considering how they are (only repaintng old rolling stock) we probably won't get it. But hopefully with another Austrian route, as there s one on the roadmap

 

BR 111? Why not some modern traction, but sth more out of museum ... as for RailJets, those, Taurus, Vectron, CityJets... those are like core thingies in Austrian fleet, until Mireos and new Stadler trains arrive

Interesting, got no clue if they have the intention of adding the Railjet with that.

 

I think a OBB 1116 with Eurofima could be better for this and it can run on the most of the route in real life

 

too bad they wont do the whole thing aka Munchen - Salzburg... it's like 30 more kms, and they have already done Munchen Hbf in the past, and pretty well if you ask me... but well, I guess I should be happy we got at least sth will see what the actual new Austrian route will be... and yes, I definitely want RailJet... anywhere... both Taurus and control car

I guess things just didn’t happen yet.

 

More likely a future add on for a Austria Route but lay on to this one and the Rail jet does run on quite a few lines around Austria now but not frequently

 

I only know those that start around Vienna - some services include lines like VIE - Wien Hbf - Graz, Wien Hbf - Munchen, Wien Hbf - Salzburg... Bregenz... Villach... and I am sure there are more

 

They do run on the Giselabahn Wörgl to Salzburg
