Today, I thought about making a broadcast of news that u would actually want to hear about. Today's first headline is about The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust and DB Cargo (UK) have signed a 3 year contract to lease 60163 Tornado and 2007 Prince Of Wales for 'The Aberdonian' railtours. This contract will start at the beginning of 2023 and will end in 2026. Next headline, there has been a RAIB report of a train collision with a fallen tree on the Down Wrexham line during Storm Arwen. The train involved was TfW Class 150 (150284). The accident took place at around 23:13 (BST) on Friday 26th November 2022. Next headline, a new railway station is being built in Cardiff named Cardiff Bay which is going to start construction in December and will be a redevelopment of the old Cardiff Bay. The new station will be in the northern part of Butetown. The station will have 2 platforms, new signage, customer information screens, and other enhancements. That is it for this edition of Railway News. The article links will be in the comments below.
