Been using the 395 on GWE between PAD & Hayes. Interestingly can get a 12 car unit out of PAD to put its pantograph up, yet heading from Hayes in a 6 car unit it stays down no matter what start up routine I try. However the 6 car unit out of PAD also keeps the panto down. Anyone else been playing about with off the rails and getting some interesting results?
Did you check the rear panto on the 6 car unit. The rear raises by default for 6 car. It's the lead of the lead and the rear or the rear for a 12 car.
Interesting does this mean you have to raise from the rear cab controls to activate on a 6. Will test Thursday. Thank you
You don't have to raise from the rear cab. It's done automatically by the train, I think in real life too but can be manually selected but this is not modelled in the sun.
Interesting. In the end could only get the panto up from platforms 3 to 9 at pad on a 12 car unit. Any other stations wont raise it regardless of length. 6 car unit wont raise it at Pad regardless of sequence, also when in free cam mode if you let the train disappear beyond view the panto on the 12 unit goes down. I suppose they never thought anyone would test the panto on gwe so not surprising.
I wonder if it could be related to the era it is set in that only old oak and pad had their DC up at the time (2018)
