Hi everyone. I have a problem with this scenario. The first time I launched it, it worked a treat, no issues and not any trouble at all. Until I try to record my let's play video I wanted to make and BAM, this nonsense keeps coming up right outside Manchester. So what does that mean "Fatal Error In Drive?". How come I can play other scenarios and even this one on the first go but not now? I know its not the Class 185 because I can play it fine on other routes, its just this scenario acting the goat. Anyone else had this. I have tried clearing the cache every time before I launch the scenario and that doesn't work. I am very baffled on this one lol . The route is the Hope Valley Line.
I'd like to help, but I don't have said scenario. I do have the Hope Valley Line though from Steam. Maybe I could try recreating it, as you say it's not the 185 (which I don't own) I could try it with another loco. What's the path and stations? Can you name them (with platform names)? Cache clearing is only required after adding new assets.
Hi buddy. The oddity about this scenario is that the crash happens about 5 minutes just after the Pendolino passes me. Which is odd because when I did a practice run before recording, it worked grand and it ran flawless all the way to Sheffield. But when I recorded it that's when it started to go loopy-loo-lah on me. It is the 1B68 Transpennine to Cleethorpes and I have the extension version that it a bolt on for the Midland Mainline Derby to Sheffield if that helps mate. I can post the YouTube video to here if that helps as I can upload it as unlisted. I might upgrade my PC to 64GB ram as maybe the 16GB I have on this new rig cannot handle the game and record at the same time.
Sounds as if it's indeed memory related if it works when you're not recording. You can run LogMate.exe (in the RailWorks folder) before starting the scenario, it can help to pinpoint the issue.
In that case the fastest solution is probably to simply use the standard windows recording app. I have used that many times with good results and "only" 32 RAM.
32 is OK, but 16 can be limiting when working with multiple programs... legend has it someone said 640K ought to be enough for everyone...
I use the built in ShadowPlay from Nvidia GTX4060 card if that helps. I have a feeling it is a RAM issue and I am going to fix that by souping up my PC .
