I am wondering how feasible it would be to implement randomly generated issues such as a passenger triggered emergency stop, train fault, transport police being called etc in timetable mode. Something like in Flight Simulator where you could choose a type of failure and the likelihood of it occurring. Embedded scenarios could be scripted for different issues that are triggered to start when a failure occurs mid game. Say a failure occurs - a dialogue box with one of many different scenarios pops up and the player chooses what to do next. For example, a passenger alarm is triggered. A dialogue appears explaining the issue, be it coat trapped in door, violent passenger or whatever. The player could then select an option such as "Let the guard deal with it and report back", "Stop at next station", "Stop Immediately/Evacuate" etc. Transport police could even be spawned at the next station to give the impression that a passenger is being removed or something. This could also be another use of the guard buzzer. Some more interactivity that isn't "fix a fence" would be fun.
Definitely! Maybe for Germany: -Door won’t close, close it manually -LZB error: like the on in the scenario -Emergency brake -delayed trains
Not for or against it. As long as it’s switchable. It would need to be off by default though or the first post after it goes live will be I lost a gold medal because of a fault!
Something like a random passcom activation but as stated it would have to be optional and the frequency adjustable.
I'd like this, but it should be optional, and all faults would need to be ones that wouldn't prevent you from finishing a service.
