Rapid transit has a problem with the routes lenght but it's not whats normally complained about, many routes are thought of as to short but rapid transit got the opposite problem but this time it's both a good and bad problem at the same time.Early on rapid transit was and may still be close to the top of list for longest routes, but traffic on this route is rare except for the occasional talent 1442 or db br 182 passanger trains sightings. There are at least 5 or more very significant yards and one of the biggest roundhouses in the game and also many manually operated switches and branch lines and good size siding,I watched a train pass throught the area near the roundhouse there 5 or 6 lines of track in that area seeing one short commuter train pass by all those lines of track just showed how big the area is and how little it's being used. This routes represent a huge amount of work, you would have thought as dtg developed other german locomotives and freight wagons that some of these assets could have been used on rapid transit to put more of this large amout of track to use.dtg already did something like this with trans pennie routes by adding the heavy freight pack, adding some kind of freight addon would have been a great way to beef up this route and make it worth the extra time and effort it took to create. It's very sad such a great route with so much opportunity was left in a siding and abandoned to times fate.RIP Rapid Transit you where given so much and used so litte.

I suspect that with the recent announcement, suddenly the situation looks a lot better for Rapid Transit. You'll be able to do all kinds of things with it now :) *

    * once it arrives in Preserved, that is
