Reading Company Railroad is an american railroad that now is under Norfolk Sounther but before the bankruptcy it was having alot of route, I think it would be good to see it in game with EMD F7 (A + B + A and A + B + B + A), EMD GP30, EMD GP7, EMD SD45, GE U30C, SW1500, 4-8-4 steam locomotive and the caboose for freight transport.

WoodlandTracks, what route do you think it's usable? I mean what route it could be used in Train Simulator 2021, I was thinking one between 53 miles under the Reading Lines Railroad.

I'd definitely like to see this route come to TS! Especially if it means we get more North American steam!

Yeah, I agree Reading Lines was still using steam and diesel train before the bankruptcy.

Great suggestion! I have always loved the Reading, especially their SD45's. This is a definite must-have for TS.

My current idea is to set it before the bankruptcy, I mean in the 1965 where it was still out of the bankruptcy. The other thing is that we need to choose a route, and I'm still undecided which one use from the map

I think that setting it before the bankruptcy is a great idea. The route that I like the best would probably be the Allentown to Wilkes-Barre section, as that had some interesting operations I believe.

i would say if the track was not really taken care of in 1965 then have it so that you can see the engine sway back and forth.

Ok, but how many mile is that route? Like Donner Pass or Soldier Summit + Salt Lake City?

I would want a bit of the core Philly area, (throw in some Blueliners and the now SEPTA trackage), then extend out into the country with anthracite, including both in a route would be phenominal.

I don't think so, but if I had to guess 90+ miles. Definitely not as long as Donner Pass or Soldier Summit.

The Reading network is probably something like a few thousand track miles.

You're correct, but I am referring to the section from Wilkes-Barre to Allentown.

With the route Wilkes-Barre to Allentown then it could be added an extension from Allentown to High Bridge with Lehigh Valley train both freight and passenger: Lehigh Valley EMD F7 late Phase (A + B + B + A), EMD GP38-2, EMD SW8, EMD FT late phase (A + B + B + A and A + B +A), ALCO C628 and EMD GP9. For the main route and extension.

So, what do you think to have Reading Lines and Lehigh Valley Railroad for the route and extension?

In my opinion it would be a good idea have both Railroad in a route and in the extension and what do you think?

No problem! I agree with you, perfect size for a TS route.

I think having them both would be great! The Lehigh Valley extension would compliment the Reading Lines very well.

Yeah, I agree plus it will be the first time that there will be a EMD FT has a late phase of the production and the first EMD F7 has a late phase production.

I would love to see an Lehigh Valley FT in TS! FTs were the first diesels that started the move away from steam. In fact, the original set of four is in a museum! They are iconic locomotives.

Me too, hope they do develop it!

This could be the Lehigh Valley Passenger cars for passenger transport in the route, extension and a dome car base on the paint scheme in the image. upload_2020-12-7_9-15-57.png

The Lehigh Valley EMD F7 and EMD FT late phase of the production can be used for both passenger and freight service
