The first service mode route I attempt on TSW4 and this happens ...... I even waited 10 mins to see if would clear. At least it was at the start of the route, so no long journey before the private swearing starts. This red light problem is really killing the enjoyment for me, its the reason I stopped playing for 6 months. But hey, who am I to complain. I am sure the are people who enjoy watching all the Al trains getting ensnared too.
I sat for a while also, contacted dispatch and it said the train was off route. I restarted and checked the map and noticed you have to switch the track right in front of the train before you depart.
No problem It may be intentional. The switch is manual so you either have to change it yourself or you can go into settings under player assists and enable "Automatic Set manual Junctions" to on and that will take care of it for you. I will be checking the map at the beginning of a trip more diligently now.
I will be more aware from now on too. But you know what this means ...... this will probably be the only occurance. Is a sim really realistic to expect the driver to toddle up the line in a busy station and pull the lever?
When you do that you arrive 20 minutes early at your first stop. Something is not right with this service
